In August 2024, Feng Chunfeng, a PhD student from the class of 2021 specializing in Applied Economics, was sponsored by the “Postgraduate Multiplier Programme” to attend The 16th CEA (Europe) and 35th CEA (UK) 2024 Annual Conference, in London, UK. At the conference, he presented his paper titled “Blockchain-Driven Supply Chain Finance Based on E-Commerce Platform: A Quadrilateral Evolutionary Game Analysis”.
Founded in 1988, the Chinese Economic Association UK/Europe (CEA) is an independent, non-profit academic organization and the leading European society focused on China's economic development. Members of the CEA include academics, students and business executives interested in China's economic development. The CEA aims to enhance public understanding of China's economic development and promote high-quality research on the Chinese economy. The CEA organizes annual conferences and symposia in Europe and China to promote academic exchanges between the two regions.
The conference in 2024, themed “Building a Sustainable and Resilient Economy”, attracted 120 participants from China, the UK, Germany, France, Ireland, Australia, Egypt, and other countries. This conference featured seven keynote speakers from prestigious universities internationally, such as University College London , University of Oxford, University of Edinburgh, University of Pompeu Fabra, and Tianjin University. In addition to the keynote addresses, the conference organized six parallel forums to facilitate in-depth discussions on various critical themes. These themes included the economics of climate change, the digital economy, Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) criteria, economic development and inequality, and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), among others.

By attending this conference, PhD student Feng Chunfeng has broadened his academic horizons and provided new ideas for the subsequent scientific research and study. Concurrently, with the support of the special fund from the “Postgraduate Multiplier Programme”, the China-ASEAN School of Economics aims to highlight the unique characteristics of its disciplines. This initiative encourages graduate students to actively participate in various high-level academic conferences, thereby promoting the quality and efficiency of graduate education. Ultimately, this approach seeks to enhance the scientific research capabilities, international perspectives, and innovation and practical skills of graduate students.
