About Us
The Department of Digital Economy, China–ASEAN School of Economics / School of Economics / China–ASEAN Institute of Financial Cooperation, was established in September 2024. It was created to meet China’s growing demand for digital-economy expertise and aims to cultivate highly-skilled professionals who master the fundamental theories and empirical tools of the digital economy and can engage in practical operations and management.
The Department currently has six faculty members—two lecturers and four assistant professors—all holding doctoral degrees. The team’s disciplinary backgrounds span digital economy, digital finance, computer science, information security, and industrial research, creating a multidisciplinary, internationally-oriented teaching and research cohort. Faculty have led two National Social Science Fund projects, one Guangxi Philosophy and Social Science Fund project, and received one Guangxi Social Science Outstanding Achievement Award. Actively serving China–ASEAN digital-economy cooperation and local digital development, they have published more than 40 influential papers and five monographs.
