    The China-ASEAN School of Economics and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat jointly released the Blue Book of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo

    On the afternoon of September 23, the China-ASEAN School of Economics of Guangxi University and the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat jointly released the Blue Book of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo in Nanning, titled “Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation for 2024-2025”. Li Guanghui, the Academic Dean of the China-ASEAN School of Economics and Editor-in-Chief of the Blue Book, led its content release.

    According to Li Guanghui, “Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation” was published by the China-ASEAN Expo Secretariat in collaboration with Guangxi University. Starting in 2024, this report will be released annually during the China-ASEAN Expo. Its primary aim is to strengthen the platform function of the China-ASEAN Expo for promoting economic and trade cooperation. By offering more business opportunities and consulting services to a diverse range of enterprises, the report seeks to support the high-quality development of the physical economy. Ultimately, it aims to foster economic growth within the China-ASEAN region.

    “Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation for 2024-2025” is distinguished for three main features: authoritative, forward-looking and practical. The information of the report mainly comes from the relevant government departments of China and ASEAN. The report provides credible views and information support for entrepreneurs and academia, and enriches the dimensions of thinking and predicting the trend outlook. In the report, star industries, star enterprises, star products, and new forms of cooperation in China-ASEAN economic and trade cooperation are innovatively proposed. This report is informative, data-rich, case-typical and highly targeted.     The Blue Book of the 21st China-ASEAN Expo “Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation for 2024-2025”

    On September 11 of this year, Guangxi University and the Guangxi International Expo Affairs Bureau entered into a framework agreement for strategic cooperation. This partnership emphasizes collaboration in areas such as China-ASEAN cooperation, the training of young talents, scientific research, policy consulting, and the organization of lecture halls. Additionally, the agreement includes cooperation in the publication of blue books and other initiatives aimed at building a China-ASEAN Community of Shared Future. To facilitate these efforts, the China-ASEAN School of Economics of Guangxi University has been designated as the responsible department for managing specific tasks and ensuring effective communication between the two parties.

    The China-ASEAN School of Economics of Guangxi University was established in April 2024. It is committed to building China-ASEAN regional international talent training base, ASEAN-focused regional country research base, China-ASEAN industry-teaching integration, science and education integration base, think tank with China-ASEAN characteristics, and China-ASEAN information exchange centre. During the publication process of the Blue Book “Vision on China-ASEAN Economic and Trade Cooperation for 2024-2025”, the China-ASEAN School of Economics of Guangxi University, as the department responsible for implementing strategic cooperation between China and ASEAN, organized a number of its experts to participate in the research and compilation work.


    The profile of Li Guanghui:

    Third-level researcher, Ph.D. supervisor, Expert enjoying special allowances from the State Council. The Academic Dean of the China-ASEAN School of Economics and the Director of the China Border Economic Research Institute at Guangxi University; Ph.D. supervisor at the University of International Business and Economics; Vice President of the China International Economic Association and Director of the Border Economic Cooperation Committee, Deputy Secretary-General of the Frontier Work Committee of the China Association for the Promotion of National Unity, Expert for multiple think tanks and ministries; Former Deputy Director of the International Trade and Economic Cooperation Institute of the Ministry of Commerce of China.

    The main research fields: Border Economy, Free Trade Zones and Open Economies, ect. Published over 200 articles in various authoritative media such as People's Daily, Economic Daily, Ziguangge, and International Trade; participated in the writing of 14 monographs; led and served as Principal Investigator for two major projects funded by the National Social Science Foundation; participated in and led research and writing of multiple documents of the State Council; participated in over 200 projects commissioned by international organizations, national ministries, local governments and enterprises, of which more than 30 have won Provincial and Ministerial Awards. For instance, “Research on Open Development Policies along the Border,” which he led and edited, was awarded the Excellent Research Achievement Award by the National Development and Reform Commission. “Strategic Research on Northeast Asia Regional Economic Cooperation,” “Development Strategy of China's Free Trade Zones” and “Strategic Research on Open Development along China's Borders” won the first prize of the National Commerce Achievement Award.
