From May 22 to May 25, the National Finals of the 2026 National Business Elite Challenge International Trade Competition (International Trade Business Simulation Track) were successfully held at Hall 7 of the Ningbo International Convention and Exhibition Center. The competition was jointly organized by the Commercial Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the Commercial Industry Chamber of the China Chamber of International Commerce, and the Commerce Economy Association of China. This year’s competition brought together 391 teams from 186 universities across 26 provinces, municipalities, and autonomous regions nationwide. As one of the largest, most prestigious, and highly practice-oriented national academic competitions in the field of higher business education in China, the event attracted outstanding teams from universities nationwide.

The School attached great importance to the competition and carefully organized preparations, selecting one team to represent the School at the national finals. Under the dedicated guidance of faculty advisors Liu Mengjuan and Zhang Weihao, the team demonstrated composure, strong teamwork, and excellent professional competence throughout the competition. Standing out among numerous outstanding competitors nationwide, the team was awarded the First Prize, fully showcasing the solid academic foundation, excellent practical abilities, and outstanding comprehensive qualities of our students.

The competition was conducted in the form of a simulated multinational procurement negotiation, comprehensively assessing participants across three core segments: product presentation, booth exhibition, and business matching negotiation. During the product presentation session, the team highlighted the features and competitive advantages of their products through fluent foreign-language communication and clear, logical presentations. In the booth exhibition segment, the team carefully designed promotional materials and optimized product displays, effectively balancing professionalism, aesthetics, and brand recognition. During the business negotiation session, team members skillfully applied international trade practices, demonstrating strong capabilities in quotation and bargaining, contract negotiation, and business etiquette, successfully completing the full simulation process of international trade negotiations.

It also reflects the School’s remarkable achievements in cultivating application-oriented talents in the field of international trade. Moving forward, the School will continue to leverage high-level academic competitions as an important platform to further integrate theoretical teaching with practical application, continuously improve talent cultivation quality, and support students in becoming high-caliber applied professionals serving China–ASEAN economic and trade cooperation and regional economic development.
