Recently, the 2025 Guangxi Story Sharing Conference themed “AI Empowerment: Intelligent Manufacturing in Guangxi” and  Opening Ceremony of the “Exploring Guangxi, Connecting China” China-ASEAN Youth Digital Storytelling Project were held in Nanning. Nguyen Mai Duc, a Ph.D student majoring in Industrial Economics at our School, as an outstanding international student representative, vividly shared the facilitation of cross-border processes brought by the development of China’s smart logistics. It demonstrated outstanding contributions of the School in cultivating international talents and serving China-ASEAN cooperation.

“This Spring Festival, I ordered some Spring Festival goods online. To my surprise, whether it was tea from Fujian or other products from Zhejiang, they all arrived in Vietnam within just 48 hours, with the parcel delivery staff kindly attaching a greeting card. During the sharing, Nguyen Mai De emotionally remarked that “From the long waiting times in the past to today's 48-hour international delivery, the transformation of China's logistics has truly impressed me.” As a Ph.D. Student majoring in Industrial economics at the China-ASEAN School of Economics of Guangxi University, she attributed this transformation to the digital economy and infrastructure construction promoted by the Chinese government. Particularly, she emphasized the application of artificial intelligence technology in cross-border logistics. Nguyen Mai De stated that in the future, she will apply the professional knowledge she has learned at the college to contribute to the logistics cooperation and e-commerce development between China and Vietnam, and support the construction of "the Belt and Road".

As an important think tank and talent cultivation base serving China-ASEAN cooperation, our college actively responds to the "Guangxi Story Ambassadors" cultivation project and spreads the voice of Guangxi to the world. In the future, the college will continue to deepen research on the China-ASEAN regional economy. We aim to cultivate more versatile talents with an international perspective to support the Belt and Road Initiative and regional economic integration. Our goal is to contribute to advancing China’s modernization, serving the China-ASEAN community of shared destiny, and building a vibrant Guangxi in the new era.
