From April 22 to 24, 2025, the 15th Financial Markets & Corporate Governance Conference and PhD Symposium (FMCG 2025) was held in Hunan University. The conference, themed "Technological Disruption and the Global Financial System" attracted participants from China, the UK, Australia, Malaysia, New Zealand, Norway, and several other countries.

There are 162 submissions in total , and only 20 outstanding papers were accepted. The paper, "Social Trust and Commercial Insurance Market Development: Chain of Evidence from Macro to Micro", co-authored by graduate student Li Zeheng was successfully shortlisted and invited to present during the Conference. Experts and scholars from Hunan University, Shandong University, Southeast University, Xi'an Jiaotong-Liverpool University, Massey University of New Zealand, Durham University and University of Stavanger all gave high praise to the paper and offered constructive suggestions for further improvement.

This Conference provides a platform for scholars from home and abroad to showcase their research findings and exchange academic ideas, fostering close ties and cooperation between universities and the industry. It also further promotes the development of financial discipline and the cultivation of high-quality financial talents. The School will continue to uphold the principles of openness, collaboration, and mutual benefit, encouraging faculty members and graduate students to actively participate in high-level academic exchanges, contributing more to the advancement of financial discipline and talent development of China.
