To enhance the international perspective and academic exchange capabilities of teachers and students, and to strengthen cooperation between our college and Chiang Mai University, with the support of the School of Economics, from August 25th to August 31st, 2023, a study tour group led by four teachers, namely Professor Liu Zhuguang, Professor Fan Fan, Professor Wei Qianqing and Associate Professor Wei Sujie, along with 45 students from the 2022 International Business Master's Degree Program, the 2022 International Trade Master's Degree Program, and the 2022 Undergraduate Economic Innovation and Training Class, carried out a one-week study tour in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

The study tour group attended lectures on incubator start-up enterprise training, China-Thailand economic cooperation, Thai investment laws and regulations, and Thai tourism development at Chiang Mai University. The students actively asked questions and participated in the exchanges during the lectures.

Chiang Mai University organized a practical case sharing session and experienced the whole process of cross-border e-commerce. The students in the study tour experienced many key processes of cross-border e-commerce, including brainstorming on product advantages and disadvantages, KOL content planning, shooting product sales pictures and live delivery.

During the corporate visit, the study tour group visited the Yunda Express branch in Chiang Mai, gaining insights into how Yunda supports cross-border e-commerce between China and Thailand, facilitating the delivery of Thai goods to Chinese buyers. At the Siri Banna Hotel, participants attended insightful lectures on topics such as the smart city of Chiang Mai, the Northern Economic Corridor of Thailand, and the tourism industry in Chiang Mai.

This study tour not only broadened the vision of the teachers and students of the study group, but also enabled them to have a deeper understanding of the economic and trade cooperation between China and Thailand, the Thai economy, culture and customs, etc., which laid a good foundation for the subsequent in-depth cooperation between the college and Chiang Mai University, Thailand, and strengthened the friendship with Chiang Mai University.
