    Yang Mei, Liu Jun:Jointly Building the “Belt and Road” Pattern: Research on the Path of Improving Xinjiang’s Import and Export Trade

    Abstract: After tamping the foundation, erecting the columns and beams, and jointly building the “Belt and Road”, Xinjiang, as the core area of the Silk Road Economic Belt, has been releasing development dividends in the past decade. In the face of the complex and changing international environment, how to promote the transformation of the joint construction of the “Belt and Road” to high-quality development based on maintaining a healthy and sound development momentum has become a new era proposition for Xinjiang. This article is based on the import and export trade data from 2018 to 2022 and deeply analyzes the current situation of Xinjiang's import and export trade. It analyzes the problems that still exist in Xinjiang’s import and export trade, such as uneven regional development, large differences in the development of import and export trade enterprises, imbalanced import and export trade levels, single types, and low technological content. and proposes targeted improvement path suggestions.
