Chunzhi Tan is a professor, doctoral supervisor and vice dean at the China-ASEAN School of Economics at Guangxi University,specializing in financial engineering, risk management, and regional financial issues between China and ASEAN countries. Professor Tan earned a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Hunan University, a Master’s degree in Economics from Guangxi University, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Zhongnan University of Economics and Law. She has also studied financial engineering at Tsinghua University and conducted research on Monte Carlo simulations at the Institute of High Energy Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her extensive research portfolio includes projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and various industry-university collaborative programs by the Ministry of Education, focusing on topics like political connections and corporate bond default risks, interbank market liquidity risk, and financial engineering education reform. Professor Tan has published in leading journals such as the Journal of Business Research and The North American Journal of Economics and Finance. Her practical experience spans consulting for government agencies and enterprises on financing strategy and risk analysis, both domestically and internationally, including projects with Indonesian interbank markets.
